We recently visited CitySwingers Swingers Club in Copenhagen, Denmark, and wanted to share an honest, detailed review for swingers, lifestyle travelers, and curious couples heading to Scandinavia.
Spoiler: CitySwingers is more of a sex club than a social swingers venue. Expect an immediate dress-down requirement, a very high ratio of single men, limited social space, and a strong voyeur vibe. It’s affordable and easy to reach from central Copenhagen, but may feel intimidating for new couples.

Membership Requirements at CitySwingers Copenhagen
Unlike many European swingers clubs, CitySwingers requires no membership or registration.
Just show up at the door.
Important:
They accept cash only. No credit cards or mobile payments.
CitySwingers Copenhagen Cost
We paid 700 DKK per couple (~€94 / $108 USD).
Entry includes:
- Unlimited drinks (beer, wine, simple spirits)
- Locker access
- All playrooms
No food available, so eat before you go.
Bar & Food Service at CitySwingers
Your entry fee includes house drinks. A few notes:
- White wine: undrinkable in our opinion
- Sparkling wine: acceptable
- Drinks must stay in the bar area
- Zero food service (no snacks, meals, or nibbles)
If you like to graze while socialising, this club won’t suit.
Atmosphere & First Impressions
CitySwingers is located 10–15 minutes from central Copenhagen in its own standalone building. On entry:
- Pay at the reception desk
- Receive your locker key
- Dress down immediately — lingerie or nude required for all genders
There was no orientation, which could be jarring for first-timers.
Crowd Size & Demographics
At 10 PM there were roughly:
- 50 people total
- 10 couples
- The rest were single men
Age range was late 20s–50s, mostly Danish locals with a few travellers.
The bar/social space is very small, fitting only around 20 people. When we entered, all eyes were instantly on us — both curious and predatory.
This is not a great beginners’ club if you’re uncomfortable being watched immediately.
Couples tended to escape to the playrooms later, with a multi-couple orgy starting around midnight. The lone single woman was very popular; single men mostly watched rather than played.
Music & Vibe
Music consisted of 70s–80s soft love songs.
Not sexy.
Not modern.
Not atmospheric.
It drastically dampened the mood.
CitySwingers Playrooms
CitySwingers has two floors of playrooms.
Upstairs Playrooms
- Porn cinema (very voyeur-heavy)
- BDSM furniture
- Dark room
- One small private room
We left the cinema quickly after a man followed us and masturbated while staring — not ideal.
Downstairs Playrooms
- Private rooms with doors
- Sauna & shower
- Massage areas
- Group spaces
- Couples-only zone
- Two open rooms
- One room has a voyeur window
- Single men line up outside watching and wanking
- Single men may only enter if invited and must leave with the couple
Rooms include:
- Lube
- Massage oil
- Paper towels
Bathrooms
Reasonably clean, functional, and not overly busy.
CitySwingers Policy on Single Men
CitySwingers allows single men on many nights, including the one we attended.
This is a single-man heavy swingers club, not a couples-only experience.
If you dislike:
- Being stared at
- Being followed
- Voyeur crowds
- Heavy male ratios
…this club may not be for you.

Pros & Cons of CitySwingers Copenhagen
Pros
✨ Super close to Copenhagen city centre
Perfect for travellers — you can literally pre-game in the city, hop on a quick ride, and be inside the club within minutes.
💸 Affordable entry price
For a capital-city swingers club, the price point is surprisingly reasonable, especially considering drinks are included.
🚇 Easy transport access
No car? No problem. Taxis, metro, rideshare — everything gets you there quickly and stress-free.
🛏️ Lots of playroom variety
From private rooms to group areas, dark spaces, and voyeur windows, there’s plenty of environments to explore depending on your mood.
🔥 Sauna included
A nice perk — especially if you enjoy warming up (literally) before getting steamy elsewhere.
Cons
👀 Very high number of single men
If you prefer a couples-focused vibe or don’t love constant eyes on you, this ratio will feel overwhelming.
🍸 Social area is tiny
The bar is cramped, making it tough to mingle, warm up socially, or just catch your breath between play sessions.
🩲 Immediate dress-down… with zero orientation
There’s no welcome, tour, or easing-in period — you’re stripping before you’ve even found your locker.
🔭 Strong voyeur energy (with some boundary issues)
Staring is one thing; following or hovering is another. Expect a very watch-heavy crowd, especially around the couples’ spaces.
💃 No dance floor
If you like to loosen up with music and movement before play, you won’t find that here.
🍽️ No food options
No snacks, no nibbles, nothing. Arrive fed or risk regret.
🎵 Music that kills the mood
70s–80s soft ballads aren’t exactly the soundtrack to a sexy night out. The playlist desperately needs an update.
Would We Go Back?
Maybe — but only for a specific themed event with better music and a better crowd mix. Most likely, it’s not worth our time and money.
CitySwingers is perfect for:
- Voyeur lovers
- Exhibitionist couples
- Those seeking fast-paced, sex-forward environments
Not ideal for:
- Social swingers
- First-time or nervous couples
- Those wanting a dance floor or bar-focused experience
