Based on more than 12 years in the lifestyle and our experience using around 12 dating sites internationally, we’ve compared the platforms we actually use across the USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and worldwide.

A Final Note From Us
We’ve been part of the swinging lifestyle for more than 12 years, and over that time we’ve travelled extensively and used lifestyle dating sites in different countries around the world.
The recommendations on this page are based on our own experience, observations and the platforms we personally use. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list. There are hundreds of smaller regional sites and local communities.
We currently maintain profiles on around 12 lifestyle sites globally because we travel often and use different platforms for different reasons, meeting local couples, finding events, connecting before a trip, or simply seeing which community is most active in a particular region.
Our biggest piece of advice is simple: don’t assume the biggest site is automatically the best site for you. Try a few, see which communities are active where you live or travel, and use the ones that feel like the best fit for what you’re looking for.
And if you happen to spot us on one of them, say hello. We genuinely love meeting other open minded people on our travels.
Be creative. Be authentic. Be you.
Swinger Dating Sites: Frequently Asked Questions
No. There isn’t one swinger dating site that is best everywhere.
You’ll often see dating sites, affiliates and influencers claim that a particular platform is the “biggest” or “best,” but in our experience, the strongest site usually depends on where you are in the world.
Some platforms have a much broader international presence. SDC, for example, is one of the more globally useful platforms we’ve used, particularly when travelling between countries. But many countries, states and regions have their own locally dominant lifestyle communities.
That’s why we recommend choosing a site based on where you live or where you’re travelling, rather than simply joining whichever platform claims to be the largest.
In most cases, we think it’s worth paying for the dating sites you actually intend to use.
There are plenty of free memberships and trials available, and they’re a great way to see whether there are active members in your area before spending money.
But once we know a site works for us, we generally prefer to pay. Our philosophy is simple: you tend to get out what you put in.
Paid membership can give you access to features such as messaging, advanced searches, events, travel features, profile verification and other tools that make it much easier to actually connect with people. We also like supporting platforms that invest in moderation, development, security and keeping their communities active.
Our suggestion: try the free version first, see whether the community is active near you, and upgrade if you’re genuinely going to use it.
No. There’s nothing wrong with being on several lifestyle dating sites at the same time.
It really comes down to personal preference. Darell and I have profiles on around 12 different lifestyle sites around the world because we travel frequently and use different platforms for different purposes.
One site might be great for meeting people locally. Another might have better events. Another may be much stronger in the country we’re visiting next.
You don’t necessarily need 12 profiles but if you travel, attend lifestyle events or live somewhere with several active communities, being on two or three relevant platforms can considerably widen your options.
Definitely not. Different lifestyle platforms attract very different communities. Some sites lean heavily toward traditional couples and swinging. Others have larger bisexual or LGBTQ+ communities, while some are more focused on kink, BDSM, fetish, parties, events or casual dating.
There are also major differences in:
– geographic popularity
– age demographics
– event listings
– verification systems
– privacy features
– messaging
– travel tools
– free versus paid access
– overall community culture
That’s another reason we don’t believe there is one universally “best” swinger dating site. The better question is: which site is best for what you are looking for, in the place you are looking?
The best swinger dating site usually depends on your location. A platform that is incredibly active in Florida might have very few members in Australia. A site that dominates parts of Europe may be relatively quiet in parts of the United States.
Before paying for any membership, create a free account where possible and search your surrounding area. How many profiles are nearby? How recently were they active? Are there local events? Are the kinds of people you’re looking for actually using the platform?
Those factors matter much more than the total number of members a site advertises worldwide.
For travelling couples, we prefer platforms with international membership, travel features and active event communities.
This is one reason SDC tends to feature prominently in our recommendations it has been particularly useful for us while travelling internationally. However, we still check local platforms before visiting a new destination.
Our normal approach is, global platform + strongest local platform = much better coverage.
For example, we’d often keep our international profiles active while also joining the dominant lifestyle site in the country or region we’re visiting.
Yes, but a free account is often most useful as a way of testing the platform.
Free memberships can help you work out whether a site has an active community in your area before committing financially.
Depending on the platform, however, free users may have restrictions on messaging, viewing profiles, search filters or other features.
We usually recommend starting free and upgrading only when you’ve established that the site actually has the community you’re looking for.
They can be, but you still need to use normal online-dating precautions.
A good lifestyle site should provide privacy controls, reporting tools and ideally some form of member or profile verification.
We also recommend keeping identifying information private until you’ve built trust, video chatting where appropriate, meeting new people somewhere public first and never feeling pressured to move faster than you’re comfortable with. No verification system can replace your own judgement.
There isn’t one perfect way, but there are some warning signs. Be cautious about profiles that immediately try to move you onto another app, ask for money, send suspicious links, refuse reasonable verification or have information that doesn’t seem consistent.
We prefer platforms that offer profile verification and communities where members have established histories, event attendance, references or genuine interaction. And remember: verification helps, but it isn’t a guarantee.
The best profiles tell people enough to understand who you are and what kind of connection you’re looking for without turning the profile into a huge list of rules. Include things such as, who you are as a couple or individual, what you’re looking for, where you’re based, whether you travel, what kinds of events you enjoy and any important boundaries.
Good recent photos help enormously.
We’d also rather read a profile with some personality than another generic “just ask us anything” bio.
