Les Chandelles Paris Review
There are swingers clubs… and then there is Les Chandelles.
A small, sensual, velvet-wrapped jewel hidden beneath the Parisian streets, whispered about in lifestyle circles and often portrayed as intimidating, elitist, or impossible to get into.
Spoiler: It’s not.
If you dress well, act respectfully, and embrace the sensual Paris energy, you’re welcome.
We spent a Sunday night at Les Chandelles (this is one of the most detailed Les Chandelles reviews you’ll find online), with our group of travelers, our best outfits, and a whole lot of curiosity. Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Paris’ most iconic swingers club in 2025, plus what actually happened inside… including a threesome, some unexpected social dynamics, and what we wish we’d known before going.
(And yes—episode 204 of the Wanderlust Swingers Podcast shares the unfiltered version. We’ll link it below.)
Location & First Impressions
Les Chandelles sits right in the heart of Paris, surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, and cobblestone charm. The club is completely underground, which immediately adds to the secretive, speak-easy allure.
Walk down the stairs and you’re greeted with:
✨ Velvet drapes
✨ Mirrors everywhere
✨ Low lighting
✨ Burlesque-style décor
✨ Parisian elegance with a sensual edge
It feels intimate, erotic, and distinctly French—not flashy, not cold, not clinical. Just… deliberate.
Location Tip: Les Chandelles is walking distance from several metro lines, and Uber drops off right at the door. Central Paris makes it one of the easiest lifestyle venues to access.

And yes—they really do have a little candy-and-fruit bar set up at the entrance. Very Paris.
Membership & Entry Requirements
Another myth busted: Les Chandelles does not require membership.
- No registration
- No paperwork
- No ID check (on our visit)
- No profile creation
Just show up dressed appropriately, and you’re in.
Strict dress code. Very strict.
Men were mostly in jackets or suits.
Women looked stunning—heels, dresses, elegant lingerie.
If you look like you’re going to a date, not a discount bar, you’ll be fine.

Cost (2025 Pricing)
Sunday entry (couples): €60
Includes: 2 drinks
We spent a total of €226, with €166 on drinks.
And yes—drinks are expensive. Think:
- €15 soft drinks
- Premium cocktails priced accordingly
- Table service style stamping card (you pay at the end)
Expect elegant Paris pricing, not student-bar pricing.
Tip: Pre-game one drink at a nearby wine bar.
Bar & Services
Bar size: small
Bartenders: one
Wait time: longer when busy
No BYO.
Water is available—but you do need to ask for it.
Important:
- No bags past coat check
- No phones past coat check
- No lube in rooms (bring your own)
Condoms are available throughout the play areas.

Women:

Atmosphere & Layout
Les Chandelles is small—no hiding that—but beautifully arranged to make the most of its footprint.
🌹 The Bar & Lounge
Right at the bottom of the stairs:
- A pole for dancing
- Mirror-lined social space
- Small dance floor
- Music: pre-set playlists, no DJ
- Excellent voyeur “sight lines”—you can see a LOT from the bar
🌹 The Back Lounge
A quieter, darker social nook perfect for:
- Conversation
- Flirting
- Taking a breather
- Watching the room from a distance
Playrooms
There are 8–10 playrooms:
- Small private rooms
- Group spaces
- A semicircular bed area (voyeur gold)
- Rooms with curtains
- Open spaces with mirrors
Bathrooms? Clean.
Towels? Yes.
Lube? No.
Condoms? Yes.

Crowd, Demographic & Energy
Sunday crowd:
- Mostly couples in their mid-40s
- A few younger couples
- About 10 single men
- 3 single women
- Everyone very well dressed
- High attractiveness level
- High effort level
It’s an “elegant eroticism” atmosphere, not a rowdy party club. Play starts slow… then intensifies around 1:30–3:00am. And yes, we walked into:
- A gangbang
- Partner swaps
- Several couples putting on shows
Elegant but still very much an action club.
Single Men (Sunday Rules)
Single men are allowed Sundays only. We didn’t feel overwhelmed by them, but:
- They were VERY focused on sex, not socialising
- Multiple men declined dances or conversation
- They were waiting for an opportunity to join play—not mingle
Not rude, but not there for chit-chat.
What Actually Happened: Our Podcast Story (EP204)
This is where the night got interesting. We talked about the full experience in Episode 204 of the Wanderlust Swingers Podcast, but here’s the short version:
While I was mixing, flirting, and catching up with friends…
Darrell found himself in a threesome.
And then a foursome.
And then came twice.
The play took place in one of the semi-open spaces, which meant:
- People could watch
- Partners could join
- It felt social, erotic, and very Paris
There was laughter, flirting, sexy banter, and even a moment where a man attempted to join—only to be (politely) rejected because he had… a full bush.(It happens.)
The dynamic was respectful, sensual, and fun. A damn good night, honestly.
“Most people don’t ever achieve multiple orgasms, but somehow… it happened. Paris magic, maybe.”
Things to Know Before You Go (Pro Tips)
- Bring your own lube
- Pre-plan transport (Uber is easiest)
- Arrive dressed to impress
- Expect expensive drinks
- Don’t expect to dress down early
- Save your energy—play peaks late
- If you’re a single man: be social, not predatory
- If you’re a couple: set expectations beforehand
Pros & Cons
✔️ Pros

Is Les Chandelles Worth It?
Les Chandelles is one of the sexiest, most elegant swingers clubs in Europe, not because it’s big or flashy, but because it’s intimate, Parisian, and unapologetically sensual.
It’s not cheap.
It’s not casual.
And it’s not for people who refuse to dress up.
But if you love atmosphere, voyeurism, elegant seduction, and a crowd that leans into erotic energy… this club delivers. We’ll absolutely go again.
