Another year, another adventure at Spicy Island! Having attended in 2023, I thought I had a good sense of what to expect for the 2024 edition, but as always, this event found new ways to surprise and delight. From the mix of nationalities to the spontaneous sexual encounters, this year’s takeover was truly something special.

Spicy Island is a full island takeover off the coast of Croatia, and if you’ve never been, the location is one of its major selling points. This year, I stayed in the more permanent Sun Lodge—an upgrade from last year’s Forest Lodge—and I have to say, it was a game changer. Sharing the space with the Bedhoppers, the comfort level was upped with a proper balcony, lounge area, and of course, close proximity to the pool.
Accommodation prices for the Sun Lodge ran at 2399 Euros per couple, which included breakfast and dinner. For a four-night stay on a private island, surrounded by like-minded people, it’s hard to beat that value. I did end up spending around 500 Euros on drinks, but that’s par for the course at events like these—especially when you’re shouting drinks for new friends!
The Crowd
One of the things I love most about Spicy Island is the mix of people it attracts. This year, I met swingers from all corners of the globe: British, French, Canadian, Serbian, Israeli, and even some Portuguese (sadly no tarts). The age range was predominantly 30-50, and the crowd was full of energy, eager to connect and explore. Everyone was friendly, open, and respectful of boundaries—which is key for any lifestyle event.
It’s always refreshing to meet such a diverse group of people. The vibe felt much more international than some of the other events I’ve attended, which added an extra level of excitement to the entire experience.
Poolside Shenanigans
Let’s talk about the pool parties! If you’ve followed my event reviews before, you’ll know I live for these daytime gatherings. This year didn’t disappoint, with sun, skin, and plenty of cheeky interactions. One day, Gab and I grabbed a golf buggy to head down to the pizza tent—a perfect snack between rounds of play, if you ask me. The pizza was as good as I remembered from last year (though I missed the burgers). The poolside atmosphere is one of the most laid-back aspects of the event, with sexy charades, playful flirtations, and spontaneous fun around every corner.

However, not every night was a hit. The much-anticipated White Party was a bit of a letdown compared to last year. The energy just wasn’t there, and a lot of people left the party early. Sometimes, these things happen—it’s all about the crowd and the vibe that particular evening. While the night was quieter than I had hoped, the rest of the week more than made up for it.
Sensual Surprises
Now, onto the more intimate details. One of the standout moments for me was a spontaneous kiss in the playroom while a lucky guy was getting a blowjob. It wasn’t planned; I was just walking through to grab some pizza when a gentleman waved me over. Before I knew it, I was kissing him while guiding his partner’s head for deeper oral. There was a noticeable increase in kink activity this year, with a BDSM section on-site that catered to those who wanted to explore that side of the lifestyle.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Spicy Island offers a unique experience that combines the allure of an exotic location with the intimacy of a well-organized, like-minded crowd.
