Sunken dance floor and U-shaped bar at The X Club Mississauga

4.5/5

Sexy. Polished. Surprising. And honestly? One of the best-run lifestyle venues we’ve ever stepped foot in.

Updated October 2026. Reviewed by Cate after two nights at the club.

We spent two nights at The X Club in Mississauga, a Friday and a Saturday, and left thinking, “Wait… why is nobody shouting about this place from the rooftops?”

It has a real dance floor, a real cocktail bar, a heated outdoor pool, and playrooms that don’t feel like a 1990s basement renovation. This review covers everything you need before your first visit: prices, membership, the difference between The X Club and the Mermaid Lounge, the playrooms, the crowd, and our honest cons.

The X Club vs the Mermaid Lounge: what’s the difference?

This confuses a lot of first-timers, so here’s the simple version. It’s one venue with two personalities.

Mermaid Lounge

The spa side. A heated outdoor pool, sauna and steam, a second bar with signature cocktails, and access to the playrooms. It runs on its own midweek and in the afternoons, and feels like the sexy coastal lounge of a boutique hotel.

The X Club

The night side. On Friday and Saturday the whole venue opens up into a full swingers nightclub with a DJ, the sunken dance floor, the main bar and the sports lounge. Weekend entry gets you into both.

Location: airport-close, Uber-cheap, and exactly where a swingers club should be

The X Club is at 1625 Sismet Road, Mississauga, 30 minutes from downtown Toronto and 13 minutes from Pearson Airport. Which means you can fly in, check in and fuck around, all within a tight, efficient window. We love this for us.

Yes, it’s in an industrial area, but honestly? So are 99% of good clubs. It’s quiet, anonymous and has parking. Our Uber from an airport hotel was $15 CAD, which is less than some lube bottles I’ve bought in Europe.

Membership and prices: screened, organised and surprisingly affordable

The X Club is members-only, so you’ll need to apply before your first visit. The process is quick, and out-of-province travellers get half-price membership: only $55 CAD a year as a couple. That’s basically the cost of two good cocktails in Toronto. Membership also means screening, and it showed in the crowd.

Night entry (CAD)FridaySaturday
Couples$40$60
Single women$10$20
Single men$70Not admitted

Inside The X Club: one of the smartest layouts in North America

This place isn’t just big, it’s intentional. Every zone has a job, so you always know where to go whether you want to chat, dance, watch or play.

Sports lounge

Your warm-up zone. TVs, seating, a photo booth, and the only area where phones are allowed.

Main bar and dance floor

A sunken dance floor (yes!), a U-shaped bar, dance poles and lighting that flatters literally everyone. A proper nightclub, not a converted warehouse with vibes.

Mermaid Lounge

Newly renovated, moody lighting, its own bar and access to the play areas. This space alone could be its own swingers club.

The heated outdoor pool, sauna and steam room

Most swingers clubs give you a dim room, a mattress and a prayer. This club gave us a resort-level pool deck.

The heated outdoor pool is clothing-optional, warm even late at night, beautifully lit, and surrounded by space to chat, sip drinks or get a little more intimate as the night heats up. No other Canadian club we know of offers anything like it. Inside there’s a glass-walled sauna and steam room, which is a voyeur’s dream.

Playrooms: respectful, erotic and beautifully maintained

The play areas have a staffed entrance, lockers and clean towels everywhere (a big deal!). You’ll find private rooms, multiple open playrooms with spacious couches and beds, a BDSM area and a glory hole room. Play was active both nights, especially Saturday, but never chaotic. The vibe was sexy, respectful and consent-forward.

The VIP loft is available for around $250 CAD and sits upstairs, overlooking the open playroom. Perfect for groups, birthdays and your inner exhibitionist. It’s the closest you’ll get to a penthouse orgy suite in a swingers club.

Drinks: cocktails that don’t taste like regret

Let’s be blunt: at most lifestyle clubs, the drinks taste like someone used floor cleaner as a mixer. Not here. The X Club has a mixologist, and drink prices were even below what we paid at a few vanilla Toronto bars.

The espresso martinis were so good I nearly proposed.

The club is fully licensed, so there’s no BYOB. If you’re used to US clubs where you bring your own bottle, budget for the bar.

The crowd and vibe: high-energy but classy

Friday

Chill and social, around 80 to 100 people, respectful single men. The gentler introduction if it’s your first time.

Saturday

Busy and fun, with lots of lingerie, lots of flirting and lots of play. Couples and single women only. Go on Saturday for the full experience.

The average age was around 40 to 45, with a good spread either side. The crowd was attractive, friendly, inclusive and sexy without being pushy.

Staff and ownership: this is where the magic is

The owner, Jake, is visible, present and genuinely cares. Not creepy, not hovering, just professional and proud of his venue. The bartenders were amazing, and one remembered my drink order after one mention. Small details, big impact.

Tips for your first visit

  • Apply for membership before you travel. If you live outside Ontario, ask for the out-of-province rate.
  • Pick your night. Friday is quieter and admits single men. Saturday is couples and single women only, and it’s where the energy is.
  • Dress the part. Upscale clubwear or lingerie in the social areas. Nudity is for the play areas, sauna and pool only.
  • Leave your phone in the locker. Phones are only allowed in the sports lounge.
  • Arrive early, then stay late. The dance floor warms up first and the playrooms get busier after midnight.
  • Bring swimwear (or don’t). The pool is clothing-optional, and towels are provided.

Pros and cons

What we loved

  • Real nightclub with a sunken dance floor and DJ
  • Heated outdoor pool, sauna and steam room
  • Proper cocktails at below-Toronto prices
  • Clean, varied, well-staffed play areas
  • Screened, respectful, consent-forward crowd
  • Great value, especially for out-of-province visitors

What could be better

  • The women’s bathroom had three stalls, and two were clogged on Friday
  • No nudity in the main bar or dance area
  • Industrial location, so you’ll need an Uber or car
  • No BYOB, so budget for drinks

Final verdict: Toronto, you’re lucky

The X Club is polished, sexy, friendly, well-run, great value and constantly improving. It’s a must-visit for any lifestyle traveller, and we’ll absolutely be back.

Go if you want nightclub energy with real play, you love a good cocktail, or you’re travelling through Toronto.

Skip it if loud music kills your mood, you want full nudity everywhere, or you’re a single guy hoping for a Saturday night.

Yes. The X Club is members-only, and every guest needs to complete a membership application before their first visit. Visitors from outside Ontario get a discounted annual membership, which was $55 CAD for couples when we visited.

What’s the difference between The X Club and the Mermaid Lounge?

They’re the same venue. The Mermaid Lounge is the spa side with the heated pool, sauna, steam, a cocktail bar and playrooms, and it opens on its own midweek and in the afternoons. The X Club is the Friday and Saturday night experience, when the dance floor, main bar and sports lounge open too.

How much does The X Club cost?

When we visited, couples paid $40 CAD on Friday and $60 CAD on Saturday, single women paid $10 to $20, and single men paid $70 on Friday. Membership is extra. Check the club’s website for current prices.

Are single men allowed at The X Club?

On Fridays only. Saturdays are for couples and single women. Friday nights have a well-managed single male ratio with clear behaviour expectations.

What is the dress code at The X Club?

Sexy and upscale. Lingerie, clubwear and themed outfits are all welcome. Lingerie is the minimum in the bar and dance areas, and nudity is allowed in the playrooms, sauna and pool.

Does The X Club have a pool?

Yes. There’s a heated, clothing-optional outdoor pool as part of the Mermaid Lounge, plus a sauna and steam room. It’s one of the most popular areas of the venue.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No. The X Club is fully licensed, so all drinks are bought at the bar. Prices are reasonable, often below downtown Toronto bars.

Where is The X Club and how far is it from downtown Toronto?

It’s at 1625 Sismet Road in Mississauga (L4W 1V6), about 30 minutes from downtown Toronto and around 13 minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport. An Uber from a nearby airport hotel cost us about $15 CAD.

What’s the best night to go to The X Club?

Saturday for the busiest, highest-energy night with the most play. Friday if you want a more relaxed first visit, or if you’re a single man.
